W3 Total Cache WordPress Plugin

One way to optimize WordPress is to install W3 Total Cache (W3TC), which can be done from your WordPress Dashboard under Plugins.

We do not recommend using W3 Total Cache while any other caching plugins are enabled as it causes numerous issues upon activation.

To Install this Plugin:

  1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Plugins Add New.
  3. Search for W3 Total Cache.
  4. Click Install Now.
  5. Click Activate Plugin.
  6. Upon activation of plugin, a new menu option will be added in the WordPress admin panel called "Performance".
  7. Click on the Performance tab to enter the configuration information.

Recommended Settings

  • Page Cache: Enable
  • Page Cache Method: Disk (Enhanced)
  • Database Cache: Disabled
  • Object Cache: Disabled

Other options for optimizing WordPress include WP Super Cache.

To Uninstall this Plugin

  1. Go to your WordPress admin panel
  2. Go to Plugins > Select Installed Plugins
  3. Locate W3 Total Cache
  4. Click Deactivate
  5. Click Delete
  6. At the confirmation for deleting the Plugins, click "Yes, Delete these files".
