Once you have a valid CSR, it will be able to quickly create the certificate. If you are generating your CSR either from WHM or other Linux based server, you need to put a challenge passphrase (password) all in alphanumeric.
When you generate CSR, a private key will also be generated at your web server. Please backup the private key or else you will not be able to install the certificate. Since this is a server-side process, we will not have access to the private key so please ensure to backup.
If you lose it or if you feel that your private key has been compromised, you can generate a new CSR and request for a re-issue of your certificate.
To make sure your CSR is valid, go to https://www.sslshopper.com/csr-decoder.html or https://secure.comodo.net/utilities/decodeCSR.html. This CSR Decoder helps to decode your Certificate Signing Request and verify that it contains the correct information.
